Dan Horal, an avid cyclist, husband, father of 2, brother, and friend died after being struck by a vehicle at Island Lake Recreation Area. The Daniel J. Horal Family Foundation non-profit and the Do It for Dan Ride have been established in his honor.

TrailBlazer

May 7

The Kal-Haven Trailblazer is the opening event of Kalamazoo Bike Week, May 7-13. You can either choose to complete the entire Kal-Haven Trail in one day, or ride it in stages though out the week.

Kal-Haven Trail Tour

May 21-22

Start your summer right, with a tour down the beautiful Kal-Haven Trail. Ride Saturday, May 30 to South Haven. Sunday you return to Kalamazoo, all along traffic free Great Lake to Lake Trail Route 1.

Michigander​

July 26-31

Celebrate 30 years of the Michigander Bike Tour. Ride fully supported the entire length of Route 1 from South Haven to Port Huron. This unique collection of rail-trails, pathways and a few country roads allow you to relax and enjoy beach towns, classic landscapes and quaint villages from the shores of Lake Michigan to Lake Huron.

Dirty Donut

June 4

The Dirty Donut is the first event of its kind held to be held on dirt roads.  Everyone from the very serious racer to those that just want a fun riding experience.The winner is often not the fastest, but the rider who can combine speed with how many donuts they can eat. 

Great Lake to Lake Trail Tour

July 26-31

This year the Great Lake to Lake Trail tour rides Route 1. We join the Michigander as it rides Route 1 from South Haven to Port Huron on a fully supported camping and hotel tour.

Wish-A-Mile

The 35th annual Wish-A-Mile® Bicycle Tour on July 28-31, 2022! WAM riders have shown up year after year to raise vital funds needed to create transformational wishes for Michigan children with critical illnesses.

Cascades Cycling Club is proud to present a bicycle tour that showcases south-central Michigan’s rural roads, summer scenery, its wine country, and delicious, locally sourced food.

Lakelands Trail Tour

Sept 10-11

A fun new tour close to Metro Detroit and Lansing. We’re riding out & back on the full length of the Mike Levine Lakelands Trail State Park, from Whitmore Lake in the east all the way to Jackson, MI, for an overnight stay. Your bike needs to be prepared for about 90 miles out & back, 60% on crushed limestone or gravel, and 40% on paved trail or county road.

Ride 2 End Suicide

Sept 10

Enjoy a ride on the beautiful Macomb Orchard Trail, and support suicide prevention awareness and crisis intervention in our community. The Ride will start and end at Capital Banquet Center.

Fraser Bicycle | MiSCA Bloomer Park Youth MTB Race

Sept 17-18

Bloomer Park is home to Michigan’s only outdoor velodrome. Typically one of our more technical courses of the series, this will be a true test for our student riders!

An easy paced pedal-fest highlighting Southwest Michigan's craft beverage scene, music, food, and the Lake Michigan Shoreline!

Bicycle out to visit a craft brewery, cider mill, or winery and return to Lake Arvesta Farms to enjoy even more craft beverages, delicious food and great music.
